The president of the Brazilian Rural Society (SRB), Marcelo Vieira, stated during his participation in the Global Agribusiness Forum Program, in the Rural Channel, that structural changes [pension, Tax, labor, and others] are essential for the competitiveness of Brazilian agribusiness. "Such actions will reduce costs for the whole economy, and consequently for the agribusiness, without loss of revenue, because they will boost the production growth," he said.
During the interview, the executive stressed that the advance of information technology in the country is primordial to democratize the access of small producers to the advances provided by digital agriculture. Vieira also addressed the need for modernization of the law regarding the registration of agricultural pesticides, and also emphasized that the Brazilian agribusiness needs to improve its image before the international community, prioritizing, for example, messages that value the sustainability of our production.
